I am so sorry that the president and Mrs Obama felt inclined to vaccinate the girls and give them the swine flu shot...it is so full of mercury and formaldihyde (spell?) and hasnt been tested. I would not take that shot for anything and havent taken a flu shot for 5 yrs. I rarely even get sick with anything, but if I did the shots would not have helped. There are Docters who are protesting the swine flu shots...

I for one am glad they got their vaccines and was wondering when it was going to be covered. I hope that all children get immunized.

Yes Miss Julie, nor I have ever had the flu or a flu shot, but vaccines are not a scourge and are far more safer from side effects (minus the methyl mercury pharmaceuticals were once using as perservatives)than from actually acquiring the flu.

So there should be no judgment on those that accept the vaccinations. Good for them and it is also showing a responsibility in limiting the virus' range.

This thing against vaccinations, for whatever its root reasons, is not reasoning for they are the closest to failsafe protections we have come up with in eliminating smallpox, polio, yellow fever, whooping cough, along with many others that would otherwise be decimating lives, especially our little ones.

Yepper, our body's natural immune system is the best aid against any disease, but ya know, sometimes it just needs a little help...

God bless the children of the world.

I would like town hall meetings to hear from the government and vaccine manufacturers why they refuse liability for injuries and deaths for the vaccines, medical personnel who were filing suit when told they had to take the vaccines or lose their jobs, and civil rights groups and orgs.

Town hall meetings would give Americans a chance to learn more about the flu and the vaccine as well as Massachusetts Marshal Law Bill. The bill provides for mass quarantine and $1,000 per day fines to be imposed against each person who refuses the vaccine if an emergency is called in that state.

I would like to know more about the different serums of the vaccines that are available and whether or not America has several serums available.

I doubt very much that there was anything harmful in the shot given to the First Children....like what is in the shot for just folks.

SUMMARY

This Statement concerns our research with anti-squalene antibodies, including the discovery of these antibodies in the blood of patients with Gulf War illness. Our published data and additional data which has been accepted for publication strongly suggests that Gulf War illness is closely associated with an abnormal immune response to squalene indicated by the presence of these antibodies. Our research also links specific lots of anthrax vaccine known to contain squalene to the production of anti-squalene antibodies. In addition, our research demonstrates that the blood test for detecting these antibodies, the anti-squalene antibody assay, may be an excellent tool to aid in the diagnosis of Gulf War illness.

U.S. Army researchers have verified our discovery of the antibodies and, in May of this year, submitted a patent application covering their anti-squalene antibody work. Our patent, U.S. Patent No. 6,214,566, "Method for Detecting Anti-Squalene Antibodies," which we believe covers the same technology, had already issued in April of this year. The Army researchers have made a disingenuous attempt to discredit our work, and they have not yet published any studies designed to confirm our discovery of a link between the antibodies and Gulf War illness, though they state that such studies may be feasible.

We believe that such confirmatory studies and additional studies should be undertaken without delay. We also believe that the anti-squalene antibody assay should immediately be made available under government sponsorship to all physicians interested in using it to investigate the condition of their Gulf War illness patients.

The Pandemrix vaccine has 1 million times more squalene than the Gulf War anthrax shot.

A debate over two different swine flu vaccines overshadowed Germany’s launch of a public inoculation program Monday.

Critics warned the vaccinations campaign could be a "million-euro flop” as many people might refuse to participate after learning they would receive a different shot than one being given to politicians, high-ranking government employees and soldiers.

Most Germans will be getting Pandemrix, a vaccine by GlaxoSmithKline PLC that contains an adjuvant, while Germany’s politicians, government employees and troops will get Celvapan, made by Baxter International without an adjuvant."

Has everybody so soon forgotten the Avian 'Flu farce?
Let's put everything into perspective. Nobody is immortal; we must all die sooner or later. Every second somewhere around the world on an average 4 people die; about 250 every minute; 15,000 an hour; something like 350,000 daily and many more than 100,000,000 a year. (If your child is looking for steady employment you could do worse that suggest training as a "mortician".) Most deaths are from "natural causes", another term for the various fatal physical malfunctions, illnesses, although the toll of the roads and military adventures account for a deplorable number.
Seen in this light the number of deaths that have resulted from "Swine Flu" is insignificant. There have always been epidemics and always will be. As soon as one disease is conquered another takes its place. You are far more likely to fall prey to an illness if you worry about it; much sickness is psychosomatic. The current hysteria, as in previous occasions, merely benefits the drug companies. How safe, how effective are the injections, anyway?
