There has been a lot of focus on the H1N1 virus affecting people, but there's another new strain that many people haven't heard about that targets dogs.So far, there doesn't appear to be any dogs infected with H3N8 in Santa Cruz County..........

All three of my dogs got this the last week of september. It was horrible. My bunnies got sick at the same time too, but vet said it's not related. Quite coincidental though. My vet is now stocking the vacine.

It's a nasty one, and like I said... ALL 3 of my dogs, it seems to be very contagious.

Another expense for pet owners... as we will have to now vaccinate our animals... have not heard of anything in South Africa yet.

From another article..

The H3N8 virus is not related to the human H1N1 virus. But like H1N1, there is a vaccine.

"It's mostly gonna be in animals, when they're gathered in close proximity with other animals, like when people, when you go out in the crowd, that's when you're most likely to catch something," says Watson.

And that's where vets say dog owners may want to consider getting their pets vaccinated. But they say, it is not a death sentence.

FIRST OF ALL - letīs make sure the pet vaccine is NOT laced with aluminum and mercury as the case is with the swine flu "vaccine" authorities now are using to make US sick and miserable!

I am not worried about this for our dog - I am not even convinced that the swine flu shot is good for our country
I have had the pneumonia shot and am getting the flu shot. What more can I do ?

As soon as we feel we pretty much have disease under control, sure enough, another more resistant streain reappears, or even a new unheard of exotic deisease makes its debut to wreak havoc.

Shirley H,

BEFORE YOU RUN OUT to get the swine flu shot - do your homework and check out what doctors say about it!

Please go to this address and watch the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1K74Tnrrok

Regarding all vaccinations - and especially this one - what you don't know can REALLY hurt you!

Thanks for this and passed it on to all the dog owners I know. I have to wonder if they are going to hype this like the swine flu?! I don't even know if these are natural or man made?!
