There were one or two cases of mad cow desease confirmed in cats during that particular "scare" a few years ago in thhe UK The only thing that worries me about this isthe American answer to everything seems to be kill it if you don't like it and I would hate some panic knee jerk reactio to impingeon the hapless cat population or any other species that may contract this man made desease!

I agree Chris and Julie. I really think it is horrible the way they mass murder innocent healthy animals for what? People have died from the flu since the beggininng of time. Take precautions yes. Mass murders of the innocent no!

Franky, I am still upset...give Man a brake, but don't harm our pets, that to me is just nutty...what is with that!!! We give them all of the ailments...well we already knew that, we (Man) did the pest control that killed all of the animals, and Yadadadad

people might be going out of their homes carrying rifles and randomly shooting cats. Their excues? Because one cat had swine flu and that cat may have infected other felines. And the people in town would be blinded and will allow people to kill innocent cats. That's how it turned out one time here. When the barangay council allowed people to shoot stray dogs. Pathetic.

I hope a cure is found without an animal tested on for the purpose of it.
