What is more beautiful than nature and we humans dont appreciate it. Actually we dont deserve to be on this planet.

Just looking at the main picture, white bears are beautiful. They have technique, uniqueness and are more successful at catching salmon rather than balck bears. Their future isn't as clear as their coat though. And its all because of us, humans. pollution and habitat destruction is their problem. And also, global warming. Salmon population will decrease due to the extreme warming of the water caused by global warming. Even its getting warmer here in the mountains (cordillera) where I live. unless we do somthing, not as a nation, not as a country, but as the people of the earth to slow down climate change and get the earth back to the way it was before, these Spirit bears will become ghosts.

Thanks for the news.

This is just one more of the many examples of what is happening on our planet today. Not only are we depleting sustainable habitats for a lot of animals but were are also stealing their food supply. We have entered a world of two extremes: Obesity on one side and starvation on the other. The gap between have and have-nots is growing wider by the day which comprises both sides of the fence between animals and humans. The diffenrence is that when an animal can't find food anymore, it dies as it has no chance against the human race with their assortment of weapons to kill it, whereas humans, because they have weapons simply kill whatever is around to sustain themselves, regardless of what it is or what it means to keep nature in balance. What kind of world would we have if we would oppose animals in the only way animals know how to oppose us if and when necessary, who would win?

Industrialization, housing developments, de-forrestation for need of lumber, recreational parks and now climate change also contributes to the demize of wildlife in general. This is all besides the need and greed for food. As a result, we over fish, over kill whatever is still there to eat, throw 50% back in the garbage later because it's spoiled because we could not or rather should not eat that much and leave virtually nothing for others. We need to forcegrow just about everything to keep up with the demand. We are attemting to manage that with all that grows on land, plant and animals alike however, this is virtually impossible with marine life as marine fish do not breed in captivity. A few freshwater fish are being commercially bred such as salmon and tilapia but also that is not meant for wildlife, just humans, and why is that? Because we have depleted the natural resources to feed any kind of species just about. It was also recently published that about 50% of all greenhouse gasses such as methane gas are produced by the farm raised animals and once again, for US to eat, the leftovers are turned into cat and dog food.

By laws of nature, only the strong will survive, not so much the smart. We think we are so smart and look at what we are doing. But, not to worry, the planet and it's animals aren't going anywhere, we are!
