Just the blue fin tuna? I believe we have come to the point where we need to preserve just about anything that swims in the oceans and rivers.

Specific species fishermen toss everything overboard what they were not fishing for that day, particularly those with their monster trawler nets which can constitute 40-50% of the total catch that usually ends up dead as a result of that "technique" including various types of marine mammals depending a bit on where the fishing takes place. Oh gosh, what am I saying, THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!!!

Just beware indeed people, we have virtually, if any at all, no control over the breeding habits of marine fish. Can't grow them in a tank, trust me!

Most scientists already consider the blue fin tuna lost.

A ban would be a good idea ... to try to save them.
