Sigourney Weaver had to learn about life with autism, and after she spent a year with people across the vast spectrum of the condition Sigourney Weaver found she hardly needed to step out of her own two shoes.

Autism is a complex disorder of the mind also differicult to understand; it's hard for surfferay to live our world because it's a jumble up place to them. Yet there are various stages of "Autism" therefore, we should learn to see & understand their view of live also encourage more awearness about this disability in the same way as many others that are coming to light! I understand, what it's like to educate folks about C.P so it's much harder for People with "Autism" to be understood. We could ALL do OUR bit, by learning what the world seems to be FOR THEM!

Autism.....created by the people who bring you vaccinations for your babies......read the literature that comes with the little bottles of vaccine.....look at ALL th side effects and then consider if it's such a damn good idea to inject your child with the stuff. A lifetime of disability.......certainly worth it to do the research.

It's tough being on the spectrum. Interesting that after doing "Gorillas in the mist" all those yrs ago SW is doing this. Those of you on the spectrum will know what I mean...FYI, single women with AS come check out my group on yahoo.

My nephew is autistic and is also highly gifted and wonderful human being dealing with a challenge. Awareness and understanding, tolerance for the spectrum of challenges people face with the various aspects of autism is good for everyone to understand. Thank you Daniel for this story and thank you for everyone who notes it. Love and Peace.

Marjorie, I beleive that the vaccines can exacerbate the degree of autism, perhaps, but it is not the cause. My 4 yr old has never, never been vaccinated, yet still shows signs of being on the spectrum. However minimal his communication skills are, however, he makes up with the pure love that he radiates.
