Amazing :) I just wish there was a better way to test these things than on animals.

Frank Miller beat you to it in 'Ronin', with the ultimate man-machine interface in Billy Challas's telekinetic ability posed against the programmed greed of the Aquarius Project's machines in the dystopia of NY City. Sam Delaney demonstrated it in 'Nova' and other novels with cyborg characters. We're finally catching up...

Great article. Thanks. Maria, the other option would be to test on humans, so I guess they have to start somewhere. And, the research doesn't sound tortuous.

These wonderful discoveries about the brain and its remarkable plasticity could make such a difference for so many people to now lead rich and rewarding lives! Every day we realize more amazing things about our brains and how we can enhance our learning and even rewire our brains to change our behavior, and develop new connections as we continue to learn new skills and abilities even into old age!
