It is disturbing, and it's something on parents' minds at every high school graduation. Even the kids who you don't expect to change and drink like this, they sometimes do too. Between peer pressure, hazings, and just plain freedom, it gets out of control.

While I was in college; not too long ago (graduated in 2006); I was the president of a very well known sorority that had more than a few drinking problems associated with the organization. Binge drinking has become a HUGE problem across the nation that needs attention fast before kids start dying daily of this awful abuse of substance.

Too much peer-pressure and not enough self-esteem and sanity. They all need to join the Peace Corps.
