Oxfam's concern is humans, and natural disturbances incerasingly affect the heavily reproducing, heavily overdeveloping (read: killing earthlife for "resources" - agriculture, paving, building) human endeavors. This is not disaster, as natural communities flow and ebb in synchronicity with storm and tide and convulsion.
In the longer term when humans are extinct, the ebbs and flows will continue as they always have.
