PARIS (AFP) - An asteroid of a similar size to a rock that exploded above Siberia in 1908 with the force of a thousand atomic bombs whizzed close past Earth on Monday, astronomers said on Tuesday.

The next one might hit the earth and that would be a catastrophy for mankind.

we would probably totally freaked out if we knew how many near misses earth has had from metorites before we had the abilty to track them. It seems not just the earth is going crazy lately but even space!
