:) Thanks Maria!

A different breed of commuter got stuck in the Reno rush hour Tuesday morning.

While a young dog attempted to cross Interstate 80 during the morning rush hour, it became scared and stopped in the center of the freeway between the two cement jersey walls that separate east and west-bound traffic, said Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Chuck Allen.

After the Department of Public Safety communications center received several calls about the stranded black and brown puppy, a trooper responded to the scene, just east of the "Spaghetti Bowl," and rescued it.

Trooper Brett Tierney brought the wayward pooch to the Regional Animal Services Center on Longley Lane.

The dog was not wearing a collar and did not have an identification tag.

It was not injured, and the rescuing Trooper said he would adopt her if the owner did not claim her first.
