Just so you know mulesing will be banned as of 2010. Without this practice many many more sheep in Australia will suffer from fly strike. If you think mulesing is bad, google a picture on the alternative. It's much worse.

Thanxx and noted.. These experiments are cruel... They are a waste of time and the tax payers money. How can something good come out of something so cruel.. is that why they have not found cures for certain diseases.

I am not going to say what I think about live export, but I think there is a bit of a misunderstanding on what mulesing actually is. It is not an experiment, it is a technique used by farmers to prevent wool growing around the breech of sheep so that they are less susceptible to flystrike, by at least 90%. Farmers find this an unpleasant task and will happily embrace an effective alternative. Unfortunately industry research (funded by the farmers through levies on wool) has not been able to find a technique that is as successful at preventing this as mulesing. Breeding animals with a naturally bare breech seems to be the aim of many farmers although it will take a long time to achieve this. Either way, the Australian Wool Industry decided, several years ago, to stop mulesing after December 2010. I doubt K.Rudd is going to bring this date forward.

What I find really sad is Sarah Palinterrorist uses the caribou as a platform to kill the wolves, saying there are not enough for both..... she makes me sick......even though shes stepped down (thank you all) I am still mailing in my sarah palin shame on you post card today!!!
