The cat was lit on fire and suffered burns over its entire body. Animal control officer Dave Schlott rescued the cat, which is believed to be a stray, from the parking lot of the Darby Borough Library after someone called police.

There was a comment underneath the story. I hope the cat really accidentally got killed in the house fire and not by human hand. I hope, the poor soul didn,t have to suffer too long. But still if she was mine I would go in the burning house and try to rescue her. REST IN PEACE;KITTY.
Thanks, Maria.

I saw this on the news today, and the man that found the cat said he was very friendly. Usually strays aren't. Is it possible this cat was caught in the house fire on 5th St. the other night? On the other hand, if this was a deliberate act of a subhuman piece of trash, I hope he/she dies a horrible death. Mark As Violation
