'Regular human music was also played to the monkeys, which predictably showed little response, except for a very surprising, calming response to the heavy metal band Metallica.'

William Congreve, the poet, wrote, "Music hath charms to soothe a savage breast..." in the poem 'The Mourning Bride.

Appears Bill was onto something, but he should have said, 'Metal music hath charms to soothe a salvage beast.'
