Populations of Laysan albatross face severe declines due to widespread lead poisoning of chicks unless comprehensive cleanup measures gain momentum, according to a recent study.

Oh shame.. these birds are so cute... accountability must be obtained and these birds protected... it is our responsibility... and we owe it to our planet

Very sad!! Again it is human impact threatening these beautiful birds and yes we need to do something to help these magnificent birds, have seen a few whilst sailing offshore and they are absolutely breathtaking to see up close when they fly over the boat!!!
