Janet Torren sensed something was wrong when the animal control officer didn't return her calls. When she reached the officer, it seemed peculiar that her story changed with each question, she said.

What an awful thing to do..especially from someone who is supposed to protect and help animals..I am glad she was fired..
And very glad Ms. Torren was reunited with her dog..

Thanks Maria..

Well it had a happy ending for a change and the little dog will have loads of adventure stories to tell her friends! Not many dogs will have been inadvertantly adopted by a policeman!

There was no sense at all in putting that poor woman through all of that! That animal control officer should be VERY ashamed of herself. In my opinion getting fired wasn't good enough for her.

I just read this story. What a horrendous person that animal control person must have been.

I am glad the dog is with his rightful owner and I am more glad the officer is fired.
