A judge overthrew a plea deal offered to suspected feline arsonist Cheyenne Cherry yesterday, potentially extending the prison sentence for the 17-year-old who is accused of killing a kitten by baking it in a 500-degree oven.

Where are the parents? Really? What did they ever teach her about animals? There is something missing in her life, and her brain is lacking a lot of cells too. Needs to pay big, and be taught a lessons, because she must not have a decent set of parents, probably just an over worked mother with 20 kids. Sorry, but this pisses me. Her parents should be fixed, so they can produce no more idiots like this one.

No plea deal,give her the Max,10-years behind bars in hard core population prisoners.Maybe after she gets out she will think twice before hurting another animal.

The number of young teens that don't have one moral bone in their bodies is becoming unbelievably high...parents have become so monstrously irresponsible! People who can do something like Cheyenne Cherry did are a disgrace and threat to humanity and should be taught a harsh, harsh lesson in right and wrong! I say give her the max on every charge. If it were my world, she'd get an "eye for an eye" and spend a time in a 500 degree room. I'm all for peace and harmony, but you've got to draw a line here.

I'm glad that this unpleasant piece of garbage is going to go to prison for a longer period. In the UK the perp is encouraged to pleade by a reduction on the sentence set by the court. We don't plea bargain and it does encourage early guilty pleas. This way the judge can sentence for a long long period in prison.......

From the article
===============
While Cherry already pleaded guilty to burglary and animal cruelty charges in exchange for a one-year sentence in July, prosecutors are now pushing for two years behind bars in exchange for a guilty plea. Cherry's lawyer, Danielle Follett, claims the prosecution's efforts to land a longer sentence are a nod to the animal-rights activists who have been protesting in front of the courthouse — a group that Cherry once taunted. "They are succumbing to public pressure," the attorney said. The Bronx teen is due back in court on Dec. 2.

What a fool of an attorney! Pressure? Rightly so.
