Apparently it's easier to get hold of strycnine in Oz than fireworks. As usual there are plenty wiling to shoot and maim cats, roos or what ever they see moving about. If you read further in the article I would also like to know how kids got hold of strycnine to poison dogs! Thankfully with fireworks not being readily available at least the Aussie animals and people are spared that menace!
