A MUCH-LOVED cat died a 'painful and extremely distressing' death when it was snared in a rat trap. Blue the cat would have taken at least several minutes to die after being strangled by the spring trap which had been laid by Francis Brian

What a shame. Good Grief!

There are humane methods of pest control. People can visit PETA.org for more information on how they can learn how.

Poor baby.

Witout hearing the full details of the case it is difficult to comment but it looks like Dunn failed to read the instructions properly or carefully and was negligent in this case. It sounds like it was not intentional but the results were tragic and it is these results that we are judging him on. My heart goes out to anyone who loses a beloved pet in such a sad manner but it is aggravated by terrible effect on his owner who is so ill.
