Terms such as "water neutral" or the even more bogus "water positive"are as sustainable as the activities towards the earth,of soft drinks giant coca-cola.Just ask those Indian people whose villages have suffered due to coke's bottling plants.

Unbelievable, Pandas, when they cannot even measure it accurately. They should not be in a dry section of India to begin with.

I saw this info somewhere earlier this year and was stunned. We've switched entirely from Coke products to Pepsi ones (hopefully at least a small improvement in this area!!). It's so awful and the more details that come out the worse the reality gets. Thanks for sharing!!

I have never spent a penny on CC or McD in all my life!!! - it's well known fact that the companies are bunch of %$%&

Another case of profits first, tough nuggies people.

Bravo, Joanna for never choosing these commodities, and JennyLynn for switching (although as a big corporation, I wonder what Pepsi's up to). Unplugging from cruelty is an excellent tactic, and a personal act of integrity.

Thanks, dear Panda, for posting.

These companies do not care but the bottom line...profits. When the USA started to demand higher environmental standards then instead of doing the right thing, they simply move the Company, and our jobs to another Country that had lower standards...be the Country was unaware or did not care.
The citizens of those Countries now have to stand up to those big Corporations and demand better conditions in the work place and environment, I know it will be hard as often it is the only source of income. But they have to band together for the good of all who live there. Those who buy products, no matter where, need to do a better job at finding out how the product is made. Don't buy it and write the company to tell them why their product is not being purchased. One or two letters may not matter but if we all take a little extra time to send a letter then those letters then start adding up and getting their attention.

I don't do these drinks at all. If you saw how they corrode metal, you would know they are not good for your stomach, esophagus and entire body. Sugars and fake sugars are another monster altogether.

These corporations started innocently enough, but greed and power has corrupted them absolutely and they no longer care about the health of the people whose water they deprive and pollute, or the consumers who buy their products.

We need to cut our addiction to artificial, sugary drinks and go back to pure water which is all the body needs to drink. If we don't appreciate our water, we may find it absent one day. And when water goes, we go.

I don't drink Coke or Pepsi - the stuff is pure poison. And not to mention their support of USA horse rodeo events..... So they are blocked from buggering up their own country - only to move to another country. Eeeeessssh. Please don't drink Pepsi or Cola - neither of them give a damn about hte environment or animals.

well first cc destroyed colombia and some other latin countries and now it's been a while since they've been in india. and people that seem to have heart problems, diabetes, osteosporosis, etc still drink these things. even here in germany i have to drink an apple-schorle in a cc damm glass. so it's not just sugary nonsense it's also mineral water with gas they own. drink none of it. think global, drink local.
thanx for posting =)

I don't drink soft drinks either never really liked the stuff. I do drink coffee and tea and I love orange juice. Water should be free. I never could understand why people want to pay for something they can get free anywere.
