While consumers battle on for laws mandating the labeling of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in food products, some lawmakers are taking the GMO labeling debate in a different direction. And it's a direction that's anything but consumer friendly.

Nope, we want the whole NON-GMO enchilada. MANDATORY is the only way forward.

Given that the senators in question are Warren and Udall, both known as consumer advocates, I'd bet that the bill was written "Voluntary" without telling the Senators. Now that they know they'll fix it. I trust Dr Warren.

Let people have a choice to vote with their pocket book, the only just and fair way is to label all GMO and let the market place chips fall where they may. How do I despise Monsanto? Let me count the ways that the seeds of destruction spread it's unhealthy lack of choice to all consumers.
