Question: How many electronic devices do you have around the house that you don't use anymore? Don't worry, I'll wait.< Yes, probably more then you can count. Or remember. What do you plan to do with them? Keep it in "that" drawer? How about get paid?

Think of the hundeds of millions of people who don't even have a radio or lightbulbs! Even a twenty-year old calculator would make a big difference if you were the first one in your town to own one.

You're welcome Minna, glad it was useful. Daniel, as you may know, there are a lot of companies and organizations working to bring useful/appropriate technology to those who could benefit from it. For instance, the d.light is both a light and a power source, eliminating the need for kerosene lighting (which many in the developing world use) This saves on CO2 emissions, indoor air pollution, fire hazards, and the expense to buy the fuel, leaving money for other things (like food!)
