I understand now why our forefathers were so leery of banks. At the rate they give us interest and do anything for us, we could probably stash at home. Now another joy to worry about are the computer hackers. They will go to any lengths to get all our private information so they can strip us of our money and then throw us back into the trash when we are no longer of any use to them. If this keeps up, only the computer hackers will have any money (all ours).

Noted. I left the Banksters during Occupy and am now "local." It's really the only way to go....

there is a very thin line between thief- police/ thief-gernment/ thief-private companies and of course thief-bankster. so i wonder why not 15 instead of 7. here, if there is an a/c that not moves for a long time like a year, some 'insider' will spend your money for you! sounds lovely, isn't it?

thanks Darren

Like Lois, Credit Union here. Come on all, get angry enough to do something. Move everything you can to a local small bank or credit union.

I'm not sure whether these affected banks comply or adhere to SOX standards. Senators Sarbanes and Oxley created a system of rigorous regulation, which if adhered to, meant companies had greater access to data, etc. on the financial markets. SOX is also, however, a nightmare to anyone involved in the financial sector, as you've got to be so rigorous and squeaky clean, which in the real world of international commence doesn't yet work smoothly.

Hi Sheri - Computer hackers are employers by corporations, the security services, etc., to test the efficacy of their systems, and if necessary, suggest improvements.

On the 15 of each month, I have to dig into my overdraft, so there is nothing to take from my account, lol

One more reason to move to a credit union. I am in the process of doing that.
