Japan said today it was pushing ahead with its controversial plan to hunt humpback whales after key powers refused a compromise offer and despite warnings by Australia and New Zealand it would be a "provocative act".

May lightning strike their boats before one precious whale is taken!!!!!!!!

Think of tomorrow-
Spread the word
Plant seeds
Grow trees
Make a forest
For Mother Nature
And her animals............

IF IT'S OK WITH YOU STUPID BASTARDS FOR ALASKA NATIVES TO HARPOON WHALES THEN WHY CAN'T THE JAPS?
YOU FUCKING HYPOCRITES.

It is NOT ok for Alaska Natives, or Puget Sound Natives, or anyone to be killing what we now know are intelligent mammals. There has got to be another way to live with the rest of life on this planet. Japanese do not need whale meat to live. North American natives can surely find another symbolic way to celebrate their ethnicity and connection to the whales than in killing.
And I would say "Bonehead" is certainly an appropriate name for the above comment source!

Patricia.........I agree with you 100%.........
Surely there are stores and such that these Alaskans can get whatever food they want/need. If it a matter of custom to just go out and kill a whale they need to revamp their culture so it no longer involves whale killing........They need to be convinced of how few of these magnificent creature there are. And, the whales have a custom too........Which is peace and survival!!!!!!!!!

Think of tomorrow-
Sread the message
Plant seeds
Grow trees
Make a forest
for Mother Nature
And her animals..............

I FIRMLY BELIEVE B0NEHEAD IS BRAINDEAD AND DOES NOT DESERVE TO BELONG IN CARE2 ~ I VOTE TOSS HIM OUT OF CARE2 ON HIS BONEY ASS ~ I'D GIVE HIM THE BUMS RUSH OUTA HERE VERY SMARTLY MYSELF IF I HAD 1/2 A CHANCE OF GETTING MY HANDS ON THE D..KHEAD ~ TAKE MY ADVICE, GO EAT SOME TOXIC WHALE MEAT SINCE YOU SUPPORT IT SO MUCH, GET A GOOD DOSE OF MINNAMATTA DISEASE, AND THEN LET US KNOW HOW YOU FEEL, IF YOU HAVE ANY FEELINGS AT ALL, WHICH ONE DOUBTS ~~

I appologise ladies, kids, and care2 staff for my rant on this supposed person with the birthname of bonehead but we don't have to live with it ~ itz hard enough living with the mass slaughter of whales, dolphins, seals, and all the other creatures of Mother Earth ~ hey most of us work hard in our attempt to save them so we certainly don't need any detractors disturbing the wonderful vibe in care2 ~ Blessings Tony

They are doing this because they have been told not to. They are like spoilt brats. They have a glut of whale meat on their market already. Hope they all come back as endangered species next time around.

I applaud New Zealand and Australia for taking a stand - What about us?? The United States should take a hard stand too...
