Ice Blocking Canada's Seal Hunt

Environment  (tags: baby harp seals, at risk, inhumane, thick ice, sealers, slow moving seal boats, sealers unable to hunt, HOPE AND PRAY THE ICE THICKENS!!! )

Good news. Thick ice is slowing sealing boats from reaching the baby harp seals in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, reports Planet Ark. Consequently, only three pups out of a quota of 275,000 were killed the first day.

Thank you Mother Nature!
Thank you Tony for this good news.
Thank you to everyone who is boycotting Japan and Canada....spread the word everyone, make it part of your conversations at home, at work, everywhere you go about Boycotting Japan and Canada for the innocent whales, for the precious seals and for humanity itself!

We are going to have to work very hard to convince governments that nature must survive. Or I guess we could grow all the food we eat ourselves, and make everything we use (kinda tuff to make cars and tires and gas), because EVERY nation in the world kills animals. Every government allows it.
Here in the states we're killing wolves and buffalo. In Canada they kill seals. Japan and other countries kill lots of sea mammals. China kill people. We can't boycott everyone. We have to wok to change things.

Way to go Mother Nature - keep on freezing that ice!! Just a pity we can't all learn from Mother Nature about what's right and what's wrong.

Good, if temporary news indeed. Killing the market for seal products is the very best way to stop seal killings( and other animals/plants too). The message of the PCB's in seal oil should be made LOUD and Very Clear. Boycotting the products is great, but how many fur (read society's -look I Got Money!) loving humans will pay attention to our message's? Got to keep trying though.

I dont guess that that makes you a better person! I am sorry for you a care2 member with the name Furisgood should do what Daphne has suggested you to do!
Nobody wishes death on any living person! Accept for a few people in the Canadian coast guard and government what they have done with the Sea Shepherd crew is insane! Just as insane as the killing of the sealers!
I think that its a simple sollution we in Europe wil ban seal fur!
And you can stop hunting seals! We dont need any violence to end this insane slaughter! Just start acting like civillized people!
