For once this is something that Tony and i can actually agree on. No one can ever tell me that what lives in the ocean drains it of fish. Two hundred years ago when there were tens of thousands of Whales and dolphins and seals all swimming along the fishing stocks were in the billions of tons. Now cod fishing is almost non existent, tuna cant be found in the thousand pound range anymore and its all because of overfishing. People do have to eat but the extremes that go on are almost STUPID. Finning sharks for a thousand dollar bowl of soup GET REAL. Thanks for the article Tony, see maybe we can agree every now and then.

Man can be so full of himself. Placing himself over other living beings. It drives me ga ga.... I was on the ferry the other day traveling to friday harbor to do my docent shift at the whale museum. I was out on the deck and a couple next to me who were from the desert of california. Anyway, I gave them my speil.. then I noticed a group of Harbor seals hauled out on a rock. I shared with them some Harbor Seal Natural history, and then they said to me... Oh! are they pests? I told them we had no pests here, except for the guy whose house on this small island we passed takes up the whole island... after that they walked away... always scapegoating the animals and not taking personal responsibility.

We do not eat fish, or rather we do not need to. Thank you, Care2 member Karin for telling me dulse has the same two essential omega-3 fatty acids found in fish.

Also chai sprouts have eighteen times the two essential omega-3 fatty acids as salmon.

Whales have been arount from the year dot. Its man who has taken the Bible too literallyin increasing and multiplying! Besides do we really eat plankton, seals and penguins? Stupid, stupid man who will do and say anything so long as the cash registers are clanging away,
