This happens almost every year with the beluga whales of the Cook Inlet. Cook Inlet has treacherous tides. People who care about the whales go out there and cover them so they don't sunburn and keep them wet until the tide comes in again. The people who help the belugas have great courage to put themselves in harms way as they do.
