These days, many Americans are suffering at the hands of layoffs, but mass job cuts are hardly a new thing. Often a result of new efficiency or simply running low on cash, thousands of employees can be cut at a time. Here we'll take a look............

I have had to lay off many workers here at my farm because of the lack of funds to pay them. Now, I must run the farm with the help of only one part time person.

Petitions to bring back industries and support to small business. This support must be done specially by consumers .But, bring jobs back!!! The whole world is living bad days but I think this country should not depend on business with other countries/governments only. Many countries are puting a hold on food exportation for example, because they see they will need that food themselves. Many are working to make a sustainable agriculture to protect land. The thing is that sustainable agriculture is more related to internal use than to heavy explotation for exportation. Education also must be potentiate at all levels because we need from farmers and heavy metal workers to clothes industries and shoemakers. This we do not born knowing about .We learn .And we need people to have the oportunity to satisfy those needs an earn their living as well as we need MD's, lawyers, architects etc. I vote for the return of all kind of legal jobs for our people! They are so much needed!

That is prosperity. That will bring tranquility to people and homes. That will bring a sense of satisfaction and peace. And that is contagious!

Wow, thanks for sharing. Both of the Borders in Tulsa, OK shut down, I really loved that bookstore. This is just another sign of the divide between rich and poor.

Great information, thanks Anna. Can't believe the number of people laid off from Citi Group!?
One of my theories is to stop supporting and fighting in foreign countries. With some of the money saved banks could at least give out some loans to business's that need more employees.
It is so heartbreaking to hear of so many people struggling just to put food on the table.

I have former workers calling me asking me for money. The most I can do is make them lunch or dinner. They need money for gas and food for thier children.

No wonder this country is going broke....We don't have any descent paying jobs that can support a family or this country...Yet our government blames us for not finding a job. I blame our government for letting our jobs leave this country. They allowed it.
