A Senate budget committee approved replacing capital punishment with life in prison without parole. It was approved 8-4, with Democrats supporting it and Republicans opposing. The bill can be considered for a full Senate vote.

Thanx for the post Brian. I agree that the death penalty should be abolished - life imprisonment without parole is the way to go.

PS: I know that some of these criminals commit some horrendous crimes - still and all - no one has the right to kill another person.If we subject ourselves to death penalties are we not just the same as those who have committed the crimes??? Revenge is Not Good!!!
