First Nations leaders vented centuries of frustration at the opening day of a historic treaty conference with the Government of Canada. "I'm too old for meetings, ladies and gentlemen. I'm tired of meetings, I'm tired of promises... FSIN Chief L. Joseph

Wado {ty} Michael for the article, this is duly noted. I believe that all treaties should be honored to the fullest extent. They were made in accordance with the laws of the land and our fathers.."E lo ni no do hi si yi" {peace on Earth} "Mitakuye Oyasin" {we are one}..honor the Chief's wishes, grant them their treaties!

I`m from Denmark and live with an innuit (from Greenland). I`ve also read about Indian historie(don`t know if the european books are really that realiable!), but I just feel strongly about making good the failure, that`s been done til al First Nations on this earth an It`s long overdue.
I sincerely hope the Treaties will be honored this time, that`s owed.
We need Indian wisdom and clear wiew on things, in this world, more than ever. Good Luck

I read this, being part Native American I was very disturbed by what has happened to my people on my father's side(Cherokees,) I hope that they get back everything that was taken from them by dishonest settlers.

If you haven't already read it, I recommend Touch The Earth, a book full of quotations by American Indians. It's pretty sad to read, but very beautiful, eye opening. Something the schools should all have in their libraries. But like Scott just said, they hate the telling of the truth.
Keep on Michael, you're doing great work!
