"Tipping point" is an idea taken from the nuclear physicists who thought up "Global Warming". It is not a term that should be applied to climate.

How does this bozo ignore the fact that it was announced just last week that the warming peaked in 1998 and the cooling we are now experiencing started in 2001.
There are still no sunspots to speak of and it is sunspots which have over 200 years of observed correlation with temperature. CO2 has none except a backward one. When it warms, CO2 levels rise. Warming is the CAUSE, higher CO2 levels are the effect.

James Hansen has been well rewarded for his dodgy alarmism and what he leaves out when he says 0.0385% is too high and we must bring CO2 down to 350 ppm, is that 400ppm was the level in 1940 after an extended warm period between 1920-1940...remember the Dust BowL. That was before the heavy industialization of the world took place. Then it got cold again. In the 1970s they were scared we were headed to a New Ice Age.

Warming/Cooling are cycles which we are just beginning to get a handle on.
