SYDNEY -- The Broome Shire Council voted Tuesday to unanimously reject an earlier resolution to effectively suspend Broome's sister-city status with Taiji, after it expressed concern over the Japanese town's annual dolphin culling

The council said it ‘‘unreservedly apologizes to the Japanese community in Broome and Taiji, their families and friends for any disrespect caused by the council’s resolution (and) the haste with which the decision was made."

AHH - the brown-nosing, crawling hypocrites - doesn't ANYBODY in any position of authority in Australia have the guts to tell it like it is to Japan! This is despicable!

Pam, Broome has stood up to Taiji and told them that they are unhappy. Let's hope that Taiji takes the oportunity to stop the massacres and open up to tourism.
