The Rise of the Non-Veggie Vegetarian

Animals  (tags: vegetarianism )

Vegetarianism used to be simple - its protagonists foreswore the flesh of any dead animal. Today there are "veggies" who eat fish, and people who eat no meat but don't call themselves vegetarians. What happened?

My sister is a vegetarian, and she eats dairy and eggs.

yes, we are depleting the oceans of fish!

this is all due to the simple fact that we have, until the nineteenth century, never had enough food. When people were able to eat as much as they wanted, they promptly began to overeat.

We can see this quite clearly in Japan - in less than a hundred years, the height of a Japanese has increased more than an inch (2.54cm) just by meat in their diet!

The answer is to constantly remind people that there are over a billion people starving due to lack of food. we know it's a sin to feed corn to cattle only to fatten it up for market, when that corn can feed the hungry.

We can also debate beer, which also uses grain, food, for alcoholic consumption.

The trend is eating less meat - the word is catching on. vegetarians want everybody to quit three and a half weeks ago.

A reminder - if you oppose the war in Iraq because of oil, remember it takes forty times the fossil fuel to produce a pound of feedlot beef as does soybeans.

VEGETARIANS DO NOT EAT ANY ANIMAL FLESH. EVEN FISH, EGGS, AND DAIRY.

i am vegetarian almost vegan. it is not hard to eat vegetarian. you simply substitute non animal flesh products for animal flesh.

there are products for every animal flesh product on the market. it is cheaper to eat vegetarian, healthier, and is more compassionate, and helps our enviroment.
