Good idea... everyday should be ban the bag day.. they should be swoped for the rice hessian bags.. thes would be more sustainable..

There are two very large islands of plastic floating in the Pacific Ocean. One is the size of Teaxas and the other one is a bit smaller.

Best thing to do is to use cloth bags.

I tried to sign it...but it wouldn't let me. But I hate those things...I have bought the cloth bags for shopping and sometimes forget to take them. Thanks for the story on this important issue.

They need to make paper bags out of RECYCLED wood products, not cut down virgin trees. Even though I hate those plastic bags and what they do to sea life whenever I get them I RECYCLE them at Walmart.

I keep a bag in the corner of my kitchen exculsively for all recyable papers.
When it gets full I recycle it & the same is true of all plastics that come
into my house.

It has become such a habit I'd feel like I comitted a crime by not doing it.
And.......It is a crime against nature not to recycle...It really is!!
