The bottom line is clear that reducing tobacco use is good for health, and makes sound economic sense. If we want to see India as a developed country by 2020, then we need to put a complete ban on the use of tobacco.

Noted. On a personal note,I think that the Human race would be a lot better off without tobacco.I've always hoped, even dare I say envisioned a smoke free society by the start or the mid-part of the 21st.Century.Only when humans see that tobacco is deadly, and it's killing them, then, maybe, tobacco will go away.

Tobacco will NEVER go away. Countries are jumping on the "BAN TOBACCO/SMOKING" bandwagon, but they are not telling you how they are going to make up the billions of $$$$$ they would lose in tax revenue from the industry. In the end, they will come up with heavy taxes on anything and everything which, you and I and the rest of the people are going to be lumped with. Wake up..... and smell your new tax bill if the Tobacco Industry is shut down. And what about freedom of choice that everyone is always yapping about on other issues. If people want to smoke, they WILL do so, no matter how much it costs them. You are all living in a dream world and want to impose YOUR values and ideas on others. I see the world more realistically. The Tobacco Industry equals huge Tax Income to ALL countries

Phillip Morris is trying to make the perfect cigarette, my guess is it will be laced with Prozac or similar. Gimmee a break, since when do we need all this control?Don't we have enough Police States.
