Hold Whataburger Accountable for their False Advertising!

Any person that has ever eaten a Whataburger A1 Thick & Hearty Burger knows how good they are.  I completely agree you, I think Whataburger in general makes great fast food burgers and I am one of their biggest fans.  They are definitely better than In & Out, don't let anyone tell you different.  However, as much as I enjoy eating Whataburgers, I feel they have lied to their loyal customers and should be held accountable.  Companies should not be able to take advantage of their customers by making false statements in their advertisements.  When a company does lie, by Texas and U.S. law,  it owes those decieved customers damages.

If you aren't familiar with the advertisements I'm referring to, back in 2009, Whataburger advertised with tv and print ads as well as newspaper stories that they were going to stop making and selling the A1 Thick & Hearty forever.   For some reason, never explained to its customers, they decided to bring it back in September 2011.

Whataburger even created a webpage for a support group for customers to help those having trouble coping with the news of its permanent retirement.

Then, on September 11, 2011 Whataburger decided to bring back the Thick & Hearty as well as three other sandwiches by making a Facebook announcement.

Here's a commercial annoucing its return.

Companies should be held accountable for their deceptive practices, if we don't do so, they, as well as others, will take advantage of their loyal customers and the public.  Unfortunately, this happens all too often.  We have the ability to demand justice.  Don't let Whataburger be the next one to get away with decieving the public.

Please sign this petition if you bought an A1 Thick & Hearty Burger because Whataburger advertised they were never going to sell it again or because you think it was wrong to do so.  Sign the petition to send Whataburger a message.  Let them know that it is not acceptable to deceive loyal customers with false advertising.
