Uphold the Ban on Hunting in the San Diego National Wildlife Refuge

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) is planning to introduce a Comprehensive Conservation Plan and Environmental Assessment, which would allow hunting in the San Diego National Wildlife Refuge, where it's currently unlawful.

If the recommended course of action in the plan is implemented, deer, rabbits, migratory birds, and other animals will be gunned down or pierced with arrows in what is currently one of the few remaining wild safe havens in Southern California.

Families will also be torn apart, and young and weak animals will be left to starve.

Please show your support in telling to the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service to uphold the ban on hunting in the San Diego National Wildlife Refuge. The agency is asking for public comments until August 18, so please sign and spread the word before time runs out!

Dear Victoria Touchstone,

I am writing to express the opposition to the proposal to allow hunting in the San Diego National Wildlife Refuge, which is one of the few remaining wild safe havens in Southern California.

A wildlife refuge is supposed to be a protected area for its inhabitants, such as deers, rabbits, migratory birds and other animals living in the area. Moreover, the refuge is a place for hikers, bikers, and families in search of a little tranquillity and contact with nature, away from the stress and the chaos of the city, and by allowing hunting in the park, people will lose their piece of heaven.

Therefore, I am asking to uphold the ban on hunting in the San Diego National Wildlife Refuge and keep maintaining this area safe from hunters for both animals and people.

Thank you for considering these views.

Sincerely,
[Your name]
