Justice for Unarmed Teen Shot for "Loud Music"!

Michael Dunn stopped at a convenience store where four unarmed teenagers were parked near him. After making a comment about their music being too loud, an argument started. Dunn proceeded to pull out his gun and fire 8-9 times at the teenagers, with two shots hitting and killing Jordan Davis, who was just 17 years old.

Dunn has pleaded not guilty and is expected to use "Stand Your Ground" as a defense. This comes after a Florida task force, created by Florida Governor Rick Scott, came to the conclusion that the "Stand Your Ground" law does not need any major changes, despite evidence that shows that these laws increase homicides.

Dunn said he felt threatened, but there is no reason to suggest that there was any real threat from the teenagers. Loud music is no reason to fire at someone. Until this law is fixed, there will continue to be deaths like this!

Please tell Florida Governor Rick Scott to ditch the "Stand Your Ground" law so that these tragedies stop happening!

Dear Florida Governor Rick Scott,

Recently, a man named Michael Dunn shot 8-9 times at unarmed teenagers for "loud music". He killed one teenager, 17-year-old Jordan Davis. Dunn has pleaded not guilty and is expected to use "Stand Your Ground" as a defense.

Recently, a Florida task force created by you came to the conclusion that the Florida "Stand Your Ground" law was fine as is, despite evidence that shows that these laws lead to more murders and thus, more deaths.

It's time to ditch this law and to get justice for Jordan Davis and other victims like him!

Thank you for your time.
