Tell the House: Stop Voting Against the Environment

247 times.

That's how many times the Republican-controlled House voted to dismantle environmental and public health protections.

A new report prepared by the Democratic staff of the Energy and Commerce Committee found that the House averaged one anti-environmental vote for every day it was in session in 2011 and in the first half of 2012.

As Rep. Waxman (D, CA) said, "House Republicans are putting the interests of oil companies and other big polluters over the health and safety of Americans and their families."

This is completely unacceptable. Act now and tell the House of Representatives that they need to put the needs of Americans before those of big oil. Tell them that Americans want a clean environment.

To the members of the House voting against the environment:

Everyday Americans like me rely on you to vote in our best interest. Yet you repeatedly put the needs of big oil companies and corporate polluters above ours.

Start voting to provide a clean and healthy environment for all Americans. Stop putting corporations above citizens.
