Stop Unnecessary Deaths - Fix the Gap at Heyington Train Station

  • by: Sarah Jansen
  • recipient: Metro / Tony Abbott / Public Transport Victoria / Parliament of Australia

This petition is simply to raise awareness, and eventually fix the gap between the train and platform at Heyington train station, as well as other train stops along other train lines in Melbourne, Australia. This petition will hopefully eliminate the number of accidents and/or deaths due to such a big issue, which has shockingly still not been noticed.

I recently lost my much-loved boyfriend Mitchell Luke Callaghan at Heyington Train station on the 23/2/2014 due to this issue. I urge all citizens of Australia, even worldwide to please take a moment out of their time to read, and consider signing this petition and sharing the issue around. The more signatures the better. The aim is to spread the issue viral, so that Metro Australia, and others who have the power to fix this crucial problem will consider helping. It is about time something is done about this, as it should never take the death of much loved citizens of Australia/worldwide to have something done about this.

If anyone would like to individually contact me (Sarah Jansen) about the above issue please email me at: sarah.jansen1997@gmail.com I am in charge of this petition, as it is very important to me. Thank you for reading, please consider how much pain this issue has put many people through, and how improving it could ensure a safer future for many.

UPDATE 28/08/14
