Prevent Indian Dolphin Abuse

You may be aware of the multi-billion dollar dolphin entertainment industry and the senseless slaughter it causes. Much of the criticism of this industry has been focused on Japan, but India bears responsibility as well.

In the 1990's, an Indian facility known as “Dolphin City” imported four dolphins to use for entertainment purposes. Within six months of their arrival, all of the dolphins had died due to lack of proper care.

These dolphinariums are unnatural prisons where the smartest mammals in the sea are brought to be exploited and neglected for entertainment. Shockingly, over the past few months, a slew of new proposals have been filed across India for an expansion of the dolphinarium business.

The continued existence of the dolphin market is an outrage, and its expansion is out of the question! Write to the Animal Welfare Board of India and help stop this horrific dolphin exploitation.
I am writing to voice my opposition to the proposed dolphinariums across India, specifically those in Sindhudurg, Kochi, and Noida. The dolphin entertainment industry is responsible for a myriad of animal rights abuses and its expansion is out of the question.

These dolphinariums are unnatural prisons where the smartest mammals in the sea are exploited and neglected for entertainment. This is not only bad press for the entire country of India, it violates the most basic animal welfare laws and cannot afford to continue.

Enough is enough. Please do not condone animal abuse by allowing the expansion of this industry.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
