President-Elect Barack Obama is the best thing to come along in a very long time. He is intelligent, sincere, and will be the one to get this country back on track, and get our allies back again. Thank God we will finally have a smart person in the White House who will work for us, the people of this great nation...the United States of America!!! I am so proud and can't wait till he takes office. He is a go-getter and an honest man who will always try to do the right things for our country and it's people.

If elected, Senator Obama plans to implement a market-based cap-and-trade system to reduce carbon emissions by 80 percent below 1990 levels by 2050. He would also ensure that 10 percent of electricity comes from renewable sources by 2012, and 25 percent by 2025. He plans to invest in clean energy and eliminate oil imports from the Middle East and Venezuela. Obama also wants to create more sustainable communities and protect our natural resources.

Such narrow minded comments are not supportive of what will be a great president~

Sharon K, you must be locked up inside your home. I cannot believe people still believe all the junk being told about Obama. McCain served, but please years ago. He is a much different man now, and no maverick. So, you are scared of Obama? Sounds like it. Please, I suggests packing up your truck and moving to Canada. or someplace you'd feel safe. It's alright, because we will not miss you.

Wow okay first off for Aymee--I'm a proud vet of the Iraqi war, and if you want to protect an unborn life, don't get an abortion just because it is leagal, mainly to reduce the risk of women dying in the act of having an abortion due to unsanitary conditions, does not mean that you have to go out and get one. Second, I have never seen him say anywhere ever that he was going to try and amend the right to BEAR arms out of the constitution. Third I've never heard him or any of his supporters refer to him as a god. and I have read the Bible, and I can honestly say I didn't see anywhere in it that it is okay for you to hide behind God or christ's name to call people dumbasses and say who God will or will not punish. I did however read in my Bible where Jesus said to love everyone and to treat others well. And god really hates when you try to do his job for him by saying who he will punish. that is also in there. I'd be happy to send you a pm with the specific scriptures I'm refering to if you'd like me to.
and for your comments Vannessa R. neither President Elect Obama or any of his supporters have ever as far as I have seen said babies are a punishment. In fact the man has two daughters whom he seems to cherish and adore--I'm sure you can ask him and he would tell you they are the light of his life. And his skin color had nothing to do with why people like him or voted for him, at least not for the majority of people who voted for him.

Thank you for that very Christian commentary, Aymee. My favorite part was how the love for one's fellow humans shone through.
Maybe next time?

You're doing just fine, Sharon. You share the same feelings that many Americans have today. At least you aren't consuming the poison Patricia and some others are.
It seems to be turning her comments into something more like hateful petty comeback's than any kind of intelligent commentary.
You see the truth like many of us do. Bless you for being honest enough to realize a snow job when you see one.

If I remember correctly, everyone (including some democrats) stated that Barack Obama's 'simple' community organizing experience was inadequate preparation for the Oval Office. Perhaps those individuals who doubted such humble service are the ELITISTS in this election.
