Health Care Remains An Important Issue To Voters

hclink.jpg Feb. 20, 2008 -- Posted by Catherine Morgan

There are over 47 million people uninsured in this country, and we are in a real healthcare crisis. This is a problem that continues to get worse and worse with every year. You may think this is a something that only affects poor people, but that's not the case at all. Most of the people who are uninsured in our country, have jobs (oftentimes more than one job). If you are not already directly affected by this, you more than likely know someone who is.

In a recent study on health insurance and cancer, it was very clear that being uninsured is hazardous to your health life.
"The fact is", said Seffrin, "Too many cancer patients are being diagnosed too late, when treatment is harder, more expensive, and has less chance of saving lives."

"We must begin to remove the barriers that stand in the way of early diagnosis and timely access to medical care if we are to give all cancer patients an equal chance in the fight," he urged.

It seems the economy continues to be the most important issue to voters. So, where does that leave healthcare? No plan for healthcare reform is going to make everyone happy, and that's a real problem for politicians. So, "we the people" can not let this issue slip through the cracks. How do we do that? Answer: WITH OUR VOTES.
One of the biggest black eyes we carry around in America is the fact that health insurance is not affordable to everyone. Irregardless of you employment status, insurance is just out of the reach of way to many. And for many of those who do have some sort of coverage their policies cover way less than they think they do! The number one cause of bankruptcy in America is related to a health issue! You should be able to get sick with out forever loosing the ability to have a bank account or a decent credit rating.

. . . Regardless of whose plan you support, make this an issue with your candidate. As part of the blog under the, "make a difference section," you can also express you concern over the crisis America faces regarding insurance. If you don't make it an issue, I can assure they won't either. -- read Take Time To Make It An Issue

This is from a post by Alan Katz at the Health Care Reform Blog...
What's needed is a national dialogue about priorities. If Americans are serious about expanding coverage, they're going to have to find a way to pay for it in good economic times or bad. And that means keeping it affordable. States should nt balance their budgets by breaking their promise to those whom they promised coverage.

The private sector is also going to have to clean up its act. Behaving legally is not enough, they have to act right. Carriers need to act in ways that earns the public's respect by demonstrating an appreciation of the critical role these enterprises play in society — a role that requires them to meet a higher standard than most corporations. Business as usual could mean no business at all.

There's a strong demand among voters to change the country's health care system. Given all that's happening, that's not surprising. And, given all that's happening, it's not going to be easy, either. -- read full post by Alan Katz

I need everyone's help. My family friends and church
believe we need everyone's voice, let's help Jim and stand UNITED to SHOW CONGRESS WE EXPECT RESULTS WHEN WE VOTE FOR YOU. Please I was forced from my
home July 20, 2006. Not one Senator came to my aid,
all threw me back to the curb(figuritive). All saying
unable to help and not their concern, 11 attorney's
took my money, but all in the end unable to help:
saying it is a career buster?? Well, I don't think
standing together and helping BOYCOTT ANY LENDER THAT USES FIDELTY NATIONAL TITLE, FIDELTY TITLE CO AND ANY OF THEIR OTHER COMPANIES to make sure CONGRESS HEARS US is a waste of time. Let's HELP JIM and BOYCOTT NOW< there are other Title companies who actually do not lie or deceive.
Please I did everything a person, hard working, honest
person is suppose to do and now live in my car because
of a corrupt town and neighbors.
Please I need everyone's help.
Thanks Jim
I have been trying to get this corrected and have had
every door slammed. Every Goverment official kick me
out, advising this is a voting year and they will not
help, or care too????
I have tried to hire 11 attorney's and none want to
ruin their career, but gladly took my money. I am
broke and homeless for the last 2 years with a
MORTGAGE???
Please if you can post a link on your web page, talk
about this on your show, if you have an emailing, let
everyone know so they can have their friends and
family also help.
Thank You James Almeida

the help of Senator Reed and Senator Whitehouse and
Governor Carceiri,Than Governor Mit Romney, homeowner
kicked out, unable to go home (though town and
neighbors have come up with new cover story, different
than Fidelty's agent to get home sold).Homeowner
unable to now get any real estate attorney to help him
sue or sell to prospective homebuyers(avoid any lender
that uses Fidelty National Title, or you too can be
sleeping in your car for almost 2 years). Water views,
and no police can get there for anyone who wants
privacy. Hurry voting year this year and Senator Reed
wants to help you too.

Call Senator Reed for more info (lies of course for
your vote this year) 401-943-3100. Cal Senator Obama or Clinton, still have not answered me, nor thre state residents who wrote them for me. Or Senator Boxer(ca), who just wrote me stating she was a Senator and unable to assisst me in this problem??????????124 Line Rd,

not to mention the untold homeless who were forced from there homes, Like me and not one Democrat (property sits half in Rhode Island and half in Mass. Democrat Senate)came to help. Forced from my home by the Town, and every Democratic Senator says nothing USA can do, not a crime they can step in and help. HMMM, Local Terrorism and Federal Goverment finds it legal to find an excuse to step out and ignore.
