Obama Wins North Carolina - Clinton Has a Slim Lead in Indiana

Obama Wins North Carolina. And Indiana is too close to call. The reason Indiana is too close to call is because one county...Lake County (the second most populous county in Indiana), has basically withheld the release of their votes. Obviously, it's a bad night for the Clinton campaign - they expected to win by much more. As of 12:30am Wednesday morning we still don't know if she has won or lost...And the question is WHY? Mayors from all over this county have reported that they sent their results in hours ago, but for an unknown reason these results are not being reported. I am more than annoyed. The only explanation that is being given for this delay, is the need to count 11,000 absentee ballads. Well, every other county reported the votes as they came in, and even if they wanted to count the absentee ballots first...How long does it take to count 11,000 ballots? Give me a break. Normally, I'm all for staying up till 1 or 2am to get final results, but normally results are not being purposefully withheld, and they are just coming in slowly. This is ridiculous! It may be a nail biter, but at this point I just don't care. I'm going to bed. Once all the votes are in, and the bloggers and pundits have weighed in on the results...I will put another post up with links and videos. Until then...I am going to bed. Good morning, and good night. UPDATE: 1:12am -- FINALLY CNN HAS A PROJECTED WINNER IN INDIANA -- Hillary Clinton wins by a narrow victory. |
