I do not feel that Senator Obama will be able to make the "changes" he claims to want to make. For example giving low income people 500.00 for a tax incentive does just what Bush's incentives do: NOTHING. If taxation came from the income from capital gains when someone has a business, which is what the definition IS for income in the IRS laws and NOT from the rest of us who have to work two and three jobs just to live from pay check to pay check; the Government would have more than enough money to go around. If the government could only learn to manage it! This country needs Universal Health Care as Cuba, France, and even Taiwan have. Their healthcare systems work for their populations and could certainly work here. Canada is not THE place for a comparison value. It's just the one we hear about from people who are afraid of social policies and social conscience. Oh no, Washington shouldn't help its own People? WHY? The problem is our healthcare system is ruled by Marketeers of pharmacopia and insurance companies. They are power brokers and need to be driven down in their power base. I wanted Hillary Clinton at the head of the helm. Since she has conceded because of "Super Delegate" archaic voting laws, I hope that Senator Obama would continue to make history and ask her to join him as his running mate - while they both work on the failed policies for the American People of the Bush/Cheney agenda.I have to vote Democratic because the Independent won't win.Sorry

Just in case you missed it...Here is Hillary Clinton's speech from earlier today. She has suspended her campaign and fully endorsed Barack Obama. Are you a Hillary Clinton supporter? Will you now support Obama? Let me know in comments. |

I am/was a BIG supporter of Hillary and I saw her speech. I will NOT support or vote for Obama. I have always voted Democratic but now i will either vote for Mccain (If I like his VP choice) or I will NOT vote. I don't like either of the Obama's because I don't think they are good Americans because of their affiliations with anti-American people. Sorry. I would love to see a Democrat in the White Hose but Obama is not the one i want to see there.

To all those people not voting for either McCain or Obama....Hello, please wake up. There will be only 1 of 2 people winning the race for President...either Obama or McCain. The rest don't stand a chance. Remember this....if you don't cast your vote for one of the 2 candidates above, it's almost a wasted vote, because the majority of people will be voting for one or the other, and if you don't side with the people ( Obama ) then you'll be helping the side against the people ( McCain ). If you like High Gas prices, being mortgaged right out of your home, Not giving health insurance to kids, having the so-called "Experience" to keep 115+ lobyists and corporate america running the government instead of the people, Falisfying Scientific data to help out Corporations like GMO Producer Monsanto poison our food supply worldwide, plus helping Oil and Gas Companies to polute the air and water, not to mention illegal spying on americans, then by all means vote McCain and keep the "Bush System" alive and well !!!! I'll be voting for the people and Obama !!!! Watch how these people VOTE on issues, NOT WHAT THEY SAY ON TV !!!! Go to the House and Senate, look at the Bills, and watch HOW THEY VOTE !!!! I've seen people talking about Obama lacking the "Experience" - I say this...Look at all the "Experience" Bush had, and Clinton Had, did either of them do well...NO !!!! They were the worst presidents we've ever had. You're either
for the People ( Obama ) or against the people ( McCain ).
for the People ( Obama ) or against the people ( McCain ).

I am a 74-year-old woman who was for Biden because he is the foreign policy expert. I became a Hillary supporter as the attacks on her and calls for her to quit increased. Never would I vote for a neophyte like Obama. As the economy seems to be of paramount concern now I will cast my vote for Nader. Why knows more about the economy and has worked more than 40 years for the consumer?

My first choice was Kucinich, but I became a Hillary supporter. My vote will not be for Obama under any circumstance. I believe, like Gus, that it is time for a good third party, and I hoped that Hillary would, after the treatment she received from the DNC and the Obama crowd, break away and make an independent run. I have never voted for a republican at the state or national level, and I won't this time either. This is the year I go Green. And I don't want anyone to tell me that I cost the democrats the White House. Dean and Brazille and the DNC and the DSCC and the DCCC have done that this year. In fact, after 40 years as a Democrat, I think I will be an independent soon.

I'll vote for Obama. This country can not survive another Republican in my estimation. Experience has gotten us nothing but power hungry corrupt government officials. Obama can surround himself with experienced people. He seems like a very intelligent man and should be able to make wise decisions.

In response to Donna: I am a Clinton supporter and am seriously considering leaving the party. Why? First of all I do not think Obama will make a good president. I think he's got the gift of gab, but what he has said has left me frightened at his lack of experience and reality. I am also angry at the way the male-dominated media and Democratic Party apparatchiks treated Hillary - and even angrier at the Obama campaign for many, many misogynistic statements while deliberately looking for anything any Clinton supporter said for something they could publicize as being "racist". I think Obama would be a disaster for the country - in a different way than McCain would be a disaster. I, too, remember the 60s. The last time the Left got its nominee they got McGovern, and the Nation got Nixon. I forsee a repeat. I don't know what I'll do on election day: stay home, write-in for Hillary or vote for Obama (I definitely would NEVER vote for McCain or Nader).

I am a Obama supporter and will continue to promote his election. He is the best thing that come this way in a long time.

We are hated abroad and we need someone who can fix that. Unfortunately that isn't Barrack. I didn't like that he jumped on the race card early and ran with it. Now in his speeches all he keeps saying is how the repubs are going to use it as a factor. Well the only one using it is him. I'm also wary because now he is flip-floping on alot of key points he made during his campaign.
He comes across as a tax and spend liberal.
If I can figure out how to write in Hillary I will do so. But I have those stupid lever machines where I vote. As it stands,
Am I throwing away my vote. maybe, maybe not. It's just not a vote for BHO. My vote to use.
Everyones saying McCain will make it worse. I feel so will BHO. Lesser of the two evils. But with McCain I know what he is about. BHO.. no clue, cause all he says is change this change that. Well sir... tell me how you are changing things, and not just your stance on NAFTA and gun control and private funding. Cause so far the only thing changing is your word on things.
