Do you remember hearing when JFK was assassinated?

Who is calling Sarah Palin a Diva? Are they being sexist?

Who is calling Sarah Palin a Diva? Are they being sexist?

What do you think? Is Sarah Palin a diva? Is the McCain campaign guilty of sexism?

From ABC News...

Aides to Sen. John McCain anonymously attacked Palin in several reports today, criticizing the Alaska governor for diverting from the McCain campaign's message, suggesting Palin was unhappy with certain campaign aides and accusing her of thinking more about her political future than about the success of the McCain-Palin ticket.

In an interview with CNN today, one McCain adviser anonymously called Palin "a diva" and said "she is playing for her own future" political prospects.

"She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone," the advisor told CNN. "She does not have any relationships of trust with any of us, her family or anyone else. Also she is playing for her own future and sees herself as the next leader of the party. Remember: divas trust only unto themselves as they see themselves as the beginning and end of all wisdom."

Personally, I use the term "diva" for men as well as women--I think it applies to anyone, regardless of gender, who tries to go all diva-ish on me: "rockstar" is similar, although I don't think it's for one sex only, either.

If McCain's people had spent more than about five minutes researching Sara Palin, they might have learned how she got the nickname "Sarah Barracuda": as I understand it, it was because of her willingness to trample anyone who stood in the way of her quest for the limelight. If that doesn't constitute a diva, I don't know what does. The sad thing is that she is obviously way out of her depth and doesn't realize how often when she opens her mouth, the image she projects is not Wonder Woman but that hapless Miss South Carolina of YouTube infamy: "And probably this is the real America, Joe the Plumber and socialism and such as..." I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Sarah can hurt McCain's presidential campaign nowhere near as much as George W. has, nor as much as McCain himself has.
They ought to have turned her loose from the start.

Governor Palin has been attacked by the media and population of Obama supporters.
She has the most executive experience than the three combined. Listen to her when she is allowed to talk on her own. She was an excellent Governor and is truly knowledgeable in the field of Energy. She isn't being a Diva she is being Sarah Palin, and some of the OLD GOP'ers are not all that happy. I believe
if she starts talking issues, America will love her.
McCain/Palin

In my husband's words, she's Igloo Trash. Diva? You must be joking. Backward and ignorant more appropriately describe her. She also (her favorite word) has no compassion or respect for wildlife and the environment. She is despicable.

Nope no diva just a power hungry narcissist! She will say and do whatever necessary to get ahead. She does not take responisibility for her own actions preferring to cast blame on others.

No, we would not have referred to a male as a "diva"; it was "rockstar". LOL - get real!
