I do not feel it has anything to do with being lazy. We all know what to do at this point in time. If they just put the right elected official in office and they keep they're promise which made them become elected Mmmm but all those elected ???? never turns out what it is suppose to be it seems. All about the money everytime. Who is taken from who to put back what was taken and by now Yep, you guessed it we pay out of our pocket as always... Time to re-think,and re-do, because it is not working !!!!

Oh, right, we can "work hard" and make enough money just by effort alone to live the american dream? Pffft. Not when jobs are going overseas at an alarming rate, and not when the jobs that remain are by-and-large just piddly minimum wage jobs. Not when the cost of living is skyrocketing.

IT is attainable but it takes WORK which our socialistic government tells us we do not have to do. Let the government take care of you and sit on your butts; and then expect to succeed?

The dream is still attainable if you are willing to work hard to acquire it. Many people today are lazy, with the feeling it is right that is owed to them and no hard work or self sacrifice should be necessary to achieve it!

Our grandparents and parents new it took a lot of personal hard work and self sacrifice in order to obtain the “American Dream”. I’ve found that most post war baby boomers and almost all Gen Xers lack the will to perform the work and to do the sacrifice necessary to achieve their dreams!!! The Generation that is following on after the Gen Xers is proving to be even to be less motivated.

The night Obama won the election, I watched in amazement as young voters told TV Reporters, how Obama’s win meant they no longer would have to pay rent, pay for food, for utilities, or for clothes. The Government was even going give them free cars, with free gas included. Medical bills are a thing of the past as the Government will supply free health care. What really scared me was that these people/ kids truly believed all of this. I can see interesting times on the horizon!!!!!!

A dream is great and is never out of sight ... just out of ambition for some.

Yep. I don't think we harp on it enough. Young people today don't know the difference between want and need.

Nancy, I know I harp on this a lot but there is a vast difference between what people want and what they actually need. If people want to much, they will always be disappointed unless they are multi millionaires.
