I am SOOOO jealous of you who are in jobs or positions that are fulfilling, whether it's a paid position or not. My job has drained all the creativity and energy out of my life, it feels like. I write computer programs, but they are governed by strict laws and rules, so there is no room for creativity. I sit at a desk most of the day, and I would give anything to do what some of you guys do!

I am a caregiver and I help the elderly and those with problems they can't seem to do on their own. I am completely satisfied with my job and it's rewarding in its own!!

I've worked for various companies over the years, but working for myself has always given me the most satisfaction. Taking advantage of opportunities to learn, even though the subject might seem unrelated to anything else I knew or was interested/involved in, has broadened my horizons ... and increased my opportunities to find work wherever I lived. I jumped at the chance to beta-test IBM's first computerized typesetting machine, then provided typesetting services for lawyers, doctors, theaters, travel companies, printers, scientists and educators...and learned from each of them. I helped arrange the first scanning electron microscopy convention. I worked on the Human Genome Project. I could go on and on. These experiences were only possible because I never doubted my own abilities, and never stopped absorbing information from every available source. Working for myself, I love my job, my hours and my boss!

After three acquisitions in the past two years, my company seems to have lost its sense of purpose - our Core Values were even taken off our intranet site! The time is coming for me to look elsewhere, I'm sad to say. I'm seriously considering working from home!

For years I have worked, traveled ,over spent, been in jobs that I have loved and loathed, now due to health issues and I can not work at present. What I would do to be back in the work force.

My job? Is it a job? I have tried for 25 years, steady, non stop to find others willing to plant gardens, farms and forests, and make friends with others willing to participate. The Forest Across America Project was created 25 years ago and submitted to Dick Cheney when he was a congressman. Still not one 'Forest Across America Project' garden, farm or tree planted by anyone other then the ones I have planted. (possibly Agnes Corbit RIP planted some) Not very satisfying, if you ask me. Bill

What is a more satisfying job than raising children and being a mother? If only we got paid with money besides hugs and kisses! :O)
