I prefer to when it makes sense, but often can get great quality non-local food for a better price. If the price difference is minimal, I tend to prefer local. Unfortunately, budget is very important, and organic beef is NOT cheap at the best of times, so when I see it at a **fair** price, I don't much concern myself where it is from, only that it is certified organic, or grass-fed and non-GMO feed.
