I'll agree with Dave C., but it all comes down to how they define 'assault weapon' doesn't it? And there isn't much agreement on what one is. They defined them in the 90s when they banned them, but now it seems people can't agree on what the words "assault rifle" means.

Myself, I think it means anything that can hold over 6 rounds, but that's just me. I think the writers of the Constitution were rational people and if they were writing it today, they would definitely put limits on what kind of 'arms' you can own. Missiles and tanks and nukes and machine guns and grenades weren't around then, so they just said "the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed" - they had know way to know what kind of arms were coming.

No...muskets yes, assault rifles no.....Guns meant muskets when The Constitution was written
